    Features:

    • This CMOS 4 LED 380TVL 0.5 Lux Dental Intra Oral Camera is an Intra-oral Camera designed for dental applications but not for diagnosis
    • An Intra-oral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny device is a Video Camera that moves around inside the mouth and generates a tooth by tooth Video exam of the teeth. The images can be stored, and later enlarged and printed
    • This 1/3" CMOS 4 LED 380TVL 0.5 Lux Dental Intra Oral Camerais nearly impossible to see inside your own mouth, Intra-oral Cameras provide a previously unseen view. The pen-sized Camera features a disposable cover to prevent contamination is completely painless to use! As the Camera moves around your mouth, it sends Video images to a computing unit where the images are enlarged and transmitted to a television screen
    • With the images produced by the Intra-oral camera, patients can see each of their teeth and dentists can indicate problems such as broken teeth, plaque, decay, gum disease, defective fillings, and so on. Using an Intra-oral Camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained
    • Since the Intra-oral Camera generates images that are stored, enlarged, and analyzed, often dental problems are caught in the early stages and sometimes even problems that dentists might otherwise miss with a visual examination are discovered. Once treatment options are discussed and agreed upon, Intra-oral Cameras can be used to effectively track treatment progress
    • Its extremely light hand piece, its auto-shutter, its performances in terms of sensitivity and resolution as well as its accuracy in the respect of colors make of it the ideal medical tool
    • This dental Camera that enables users to examine their teeth, ears, hair and other body parts on their own, you also could use it to look into cotton fibre, inset, leaf, rock and mini-size electron element so on. Operation is easy. Just plug the Camera cable into any TV Video Input or computer USB port and aim the Lens at the part you want to see. Roughly 26mm wide and 199mm long, this Camera uses four AA Batteries. It has three types, namely PAL/CMOS, NTSC/CMOS and CCD
    • As many dentists have already found, "the primary reason for a Camera system is to help in communicating with your patient"
    • Many patients, especially younger patients, are very familiar with the latest technology and are more comfortable with the high tech practice. Computers and TV screens are their primary method of information processing
    • Today's Intra-oral Camera technology helps enhance your patients' understanding of your diagnosis and with that understanding comes acceptance of your recommended course of treatment. This can be particularly important when you have to explain why a lengthy treatment is being recommended
    • In your practice the Intra-oral Camera will also aid you in diagnosis. With clear, defined, enlarged images you see details that may be missed by standard mirror examinations. This can mean faster diagnosis with less chair-time
    • The patient images can be then saved in your office computer to provide a permanent record of treatments, printed as communications to the patient, other specialists, your lab or insurance companies

    How to Use Intra-oral Cameras?

With the addition of an intraoral camera (IOC) to your practice, case acceptance rates can soar. Since the advent of intraoral cameras in 1987, doctors are able to show the patient what they see inside the oral cavity. While everyone has peered into their own mouths, never before has every detail been so magnified and clear, enabling dental professionals to educate their patients

    Instructions:

    • Using the Intraoral Camera for Dentistry
    • Explain to the patient that your practice uses an intraoral camera. Show how the camera works and prepare to document each diagnosis you will be explaining to the patient
    • Take photos of the areas of the gums during the periodontal examination to show swelling, infection or recession. IOCs are instrumental in selling cosmetic dentistry because they enable you to show the patient what a specific condition looks like up close in bright light
    • Take photos of stains and caries to present as "before" shots. These photographs not only benefit the patient, but also serve as good documentation for patient files. In some cases, photographs can make the difference between the acceptance or denial of an insurance payment, and they can always complement patient X-rays when billing insurance companies
    • Examine the oral cavity for any precautionary symptoms that may indicate a health risk and document through photos. Take photographic evidence of all possible symptoms that may be early clinical indications of oral cancer, kidney disease, bulimia, or other diseases that present in the oral cavity. Periodontal disease, which is usually painless in the beginning, can be clearly shown through the use of an IOC
    • Converse with the patient regarding your diagnoses, and back up each diagnosis with a photo explaining to the patient how you reached your conclusion. Explain what may happen if the condition is left untreated. Having a collection of photographs of advanced conditions and what they look like can be extremely effective in case acceptance
    • Print out some of the photos for the patient to take home, especially of the urgent conditions needing treatment. Print out other photos for your patient files, and store them safely. IOC images can be used later to show progression, and can help you monitor certain conditions in the mouth. If any of the conditions indicate a medical problem, consult a physician to see if further examination is warranted

    Tips & Warnings:

    • Teach your hygienist how to use the IOC. Because most of their work is educating about oral health, 76 percent of hygienists believe the use of an IOC is integral to helping the patient gain an understanding about oral conditions, according to Dental Economics magazine. Hygienists can also use the images to consult with the doctor long after the patient has left the office
    • Not all intraoral cameras are of the same quality. When possible, ensure that the camera you purchase works flawlessly with the dental software used in your practice. A bridge may often help the two to integrate, and many popular dental software companies will supply a list of companies that manufacture cameras that integrate with their software
