11-22-2010- Other Thoughts: Great price. Sells for almost twice as much at retail stores. Can't imagine playing Wii with multiple players with just one shared controller. If you buy Wii be sure to purchase at least one additional remote controller. Shipment arrived increadibly fast. I received it sooner than I would have had time to go to a store to buy it.

11-04-2010- Other Thoughts: We love the WII games and are pleased with the WII Game, except the extra Controller was "small", the one that came with the game was a regular size. I was very disappointed whenever we received the extra "small" Controller. The ad online didn't say anything about the size. Since this is the first time I had ordered online from Amazon,I didn't think it would be anything but the regular size. My friends had ordered their set from Amazon and ordered an extra Controller, they received the regular size which matched the one with the WII game.

11-01-2010- Other Thoughts: The control yes, it's good, though I had a problem with this that I received, after taking issue with the previously sent. I believe it was a problem with a batch of this product or the shipment that caused the defect. <br/>But taking advantage of the comment area refound Amazon is perfect, no comments.

10-29-2010- Other Thoughts: I ordered a couple of the Wii remotes and haven't been happier. They arrived quickly and the kids started using them right away! I was surprised that they both came with the clear cover as well. I would definitely recomend this vendor to my friends and family.

10-25-2010- Other Thoughts: The Wii Remote Controller is shaped like a standard TV remove, and has motion sensing ability. You wave it around, and your on-screen character waves their wand! <br/> <br/>This isn't an add-on controller - this is the actual, standard controller that most if not all games on the Nintendo Wii use as their primary control unit. There is also a "nunchuck" that can be used in your off hand, but many games don't use the nunchuck.

10-13-2010- Other Thoughts: The purchase of additional Nintendo Wii Remote controllers are the basic requirement for multi-player games. Strongly consider buying a pair of high-capacity NiMH rechargeable AA batteries along with each additional controller. The Nintendo Wii Remote consumes a lot of power because of the many functions it performs -- the Wii Remote serves as a motion controller, provides power to controller attachments, and generates sound and vibration effects.

12-18-2009- Other Thoughts: Boo to the negative review about covering the IR sensor. When you play wii sports the IR sensor is not considered in the interaction. I know because I play wii sports with my nephew while I'm across at the other side of the LR. <br/> <br/>I'd admit its corny for Adults but for the kids its a blast. Funny thing is that wii sports is still the game of choice when all the kids are visiting. I'd say this product increase the fun factor.

12-16-2009- Other Thoughts: Well not really. The first description of the Product Features says (Or at least it one point said) "Beams money through Bluetooth up to 30 feet away"! If only this were true it would save a lot on gas because I know someone would mod it and have a Wii at work. For most of us though, we can't bring our Wii to work and are forced to play them only from the confines of our homes. When you do this, it's best to have some friends over. And if your going to drink and play... be safe and wear the safety strap, enough innocent TVs have died this year alone from PWWI (Playing Wii While Intoxicated). And while you are at it, get a few more Wii remotes like this one. No more playing with a remote covered in someone else's sweat. And if you are a big enough nerd, you can mod your computer to accept the Wii Remote commands.

- Can I connect the Wii to my HDTV?
Yes, but you'll need the optional component cable to take advantage of the Wii's progressive scan output. You can connect wirelessly or purchase a seperate USB 2.0 Network Adapter to connect directly to the Wii via an Ethernet cable.
- Can I use my Gamecube component cable with my Wii system?
No. The Gamecube component cable only had output connections for VIDEO and then you had to still use your other composite cable in order to get AUDIO, which worked fine on most Gamecube systems since they had two A/V ports. The Wii only has one Multi-A/V port so if you were to use your Gamecube component cable, you couldn't get any sound at all, and that's assuming that the Gamecube component cable would work at all on the Wii.
- Is the Wii-mote wireless, and if so, what kind of batteries does it use?
Yes, the Wii controller is wireless. The controller uses AA alkaline batteries and has a life of between 30 and 60 hours, depending on whether or not its pointing functionality is being used. When it is, it has a 30-hour battery life. When just the accelerometer is being used, the life is 60 hours.
