How to Play Odds and Ends Poker:
- Organize a home poker night for you and your friends. Odds and Ends Poker is a great poker variation to play if your group of poker playing friends enjoy Texas Hold 'em or Omaha Hold 'em variations. The minimum number of players for Odds and Ends Poker is four, and the maximum is ten. The ideal number of players for a game of Odds and Ends Poker is between six and eight players
- Deal four cards face down to each player, and three cards face down in the center of the table. The three cards in the center of the table are the community cards that will be revealed during the hand and shared by each player at the table. Allow each player to look at his face down cards, known as hole cards, after paying an ante into the pot. Inform each player that his highest hole card that is odd (3, 5 , 7 or 9) is wild to start the hand. If one of the three community cards matches that hole card though, none of that player's cards are wild
- Conduct the first round of wagering. Start this round with the player sitting to the left of the dealer
- Reveal the first community card. Start a wagering round once again with the player sitting to the left of the dealer
- Repeat Step 4 two more times. At this point, there will have been four rounds of wagering and each player will now see all three community cards. Remind players that if his highest odd card (3, 5 , 7 or 9) among his hole cards is paired up with the same face value card among the community cards, he does not have any wild cards in his hand
- Reveal the cards and determine the winner. Each player now reveals his cards and declares his poker hand. Players can use any five card combination from his hand and the three community cards. Other players should verify that any wild card a player claims is wild, is indeed a valid wild card. The player with the highest poker hand wins the entire pot
