i was looking for a laserpointer for my undergraduate class that takes place in a mid-size lecture hall. standard red laser-pointers with 100mW output turned out to be far too weak for this purpose; note that these are the typical laser-diodes used in the popular kensington/logitech power-point/keynote presenters. however, the 525nm (green) wavelength and the 200mW output of this laserpointer make it right for my needs. it is also very compact and has a solid feel with no loose parts. runs on a single AAA battery (no experience with batterylife sofar). recommended.

This product worked exactly as promised. The laser had an extremely long range. It would be great for long distance use but keep in mind that the green laser is really intense and not suitable for up close use.
