Cleaning Lens Pen Use Instructions:
- Remove dust particles with retractable brush
- Remove lens pen's cap and wipe the surface with smooth, circular motions of the unique flexible cleaning pad
- The remarkable special cleaning compound removes fingerprints, smudges and grease marks with ease. If some smudges persist, breath gently on the surface tube cleaned and repeat the process
- Replace the cap over the tip and give the cap a half twist. Twisting the cap replenishes the unique lens pen cleaning pad
How to Use a Camera Lens Cleaning Kit:
- Buy a camera lens cleaning kit, available at any camera store. There are different types available, some consisting of just a lens cleaning cloth and perhaps a brush. and others that additionally contain an air blower and a camera lens cleaning solution. I recommend purchasing the latter, as it costs just a few dollars more and gives you more cleaning options
- Use the air blower to blow away any dust or sand from the camera lens prior to doing anything else. This will remove any abrasive particles that could scratch the surface of the lens if you tried to wipe it directly. This step might be enough for cleaning the lens
- If there are still any smudges or spots left on the lens, use the lens cleaning cloth to gently wipe these away using smooth, regular but very gentle strokes to prevent further smudging. Make sure to shake off any dust on the cloth before using, and in between strokes if any dust has accumulated on it. A lens cleaning cloth is specially made to not leave any scratches or smudges if used correctly. If there are really obstinate smudges still left, spray a little cleaning fluid from the kit on to the lens cleaning cloth and repeat above step. Using a camera lens cleaning kit in this fashion should restore your lens to pristine condition in most cases
How to Clean Digital Camera Lens:
- Remove the lens cap and examine the lens for dust or smudging. Blast air over the lens with a lens blower or canned air to remove particles and dirt
- Wipe the lens carefully with a microfiber cloth or lens tissues. A chemical-free microfiber cloth offers superior cleaning for digital lenses and will not scratch or smear the way other natural materials can
- Use a lens brush to remove imbedded dirt trapped in the crevices surrounding the glass lens
- Use a small amount of lens fluid on a microfiber cloth to remove persistent dirt on the lens. Apply a few small drops on the cloth; rub in circular motions over the lens until the dirt is removed
- Dry the digital camera lens completely before using a lens pen to remove any stubborn spots or smears. The treated chamois cloth pad on the pen effectively removes grease and oils from the glass surface when rubbed over the lens. Many come in handy dual-action kits with a brush on one side and the pen on the other
- Store your digital camera lens cleaning equipment in a soft bag or plastic baggie to keep it clean and ready-to-use. Tightly cap the lens fluid before storage

11-11-2011- Other Thoughts: This Camera Cleaning Kit is the absolute best option for cleaning the screen of Apple's iPad. Nothing else that I've ever tried has been anywhere near as effective at removing the oils left behind by fingers on the touch screen. They are also gentle enough that you won't worry about scratching the screen.
