A game controller is an input device used to control a video game. A controller is typically connected to a video game console or a personal computer. The Controller S, a smaller, lighter Xbox controller was originally the standard Xbox controller only in Japan (codenamed "Akebono"). It was designed to be more comfortable for those with smaller hands. The Controller S was released in other territories by popular demand, and eventually replaced the standard controller in the Xbox's retail package, with the larger original controller available as an accessory.
