It's a cheap camera. Cheap being the operative word. It looks great on the website but believe me when I say it is easy to make things look wonderful online. Addditionally, I have no "pros" to post but in order to post this review it requires 60 words of "pros", "cons," and what I didn't like.

Cons:

This camera is as pictured.However, the metal ring around the lens is actually plastic covered in metal paint like a car model.The pictures it takes are fuzzy. It is advertised as 12 megapixels, yet the manual says 5 megapixels. And in order to return it, I was told to take pictures with the camera, send them to their email address, and they will get back to me. The aggravation alone would make me not purchase this item.

Please refer to the above comments. I have purchased other items from DinoDirect and have been veery happy with them. This was a major disappointment. Especially after reading all the great reviews people had to offer. I will have to bite the bullet and pay more for the quality of a Canon or Nikon.

I bought this camera to replace one that I fell in the water with. I take pictures of everything, my dog, my kids, nature, buildings and anything that catches my eye. I'm not a photographer, but this camera is easy to use and it's settings enable me to take some awesome pictures. The more familiar I get with it, the better my pictures are turning out. This is a great little camera for point and shoot and is extremely easy to use. The only thing I wish it had (unless it has it and I haven't found it yet) is color filters for sunset photos.

I am currently retired from graphic design and photostyling for catalogs, I found the DC500T to be a camera I wish I'd had ten years ago. I was amazed to find it has so many settings (it has ISO as well as many other settings for the most fun and practicality.) I recommend this to anyone.

It is the perfect travel/everyday camera. It weighs a little over 4 ounces. The size of the camera is astonishing. It is smaller than my my wallet. I love the video recording HD. The image stabilization for video/image stills is a winner. The clips are sharper and clearer than the clips from the Creative Vado HD and the Flip Video MinoHD.

It's easy to use, really easy to set, FAST, and good low light. You don't always need the flash. It's very small, and can fit easily in my purse (that are all quiet small purses actually). This is a perfect camera if you just want some fun shots that are clear, and you want an easy to use fast camera. This is NOT good for "professional" type shots (why do people write reviews of these cameras and get all down on them for not being professional grade cameras? They never claim to be!).

I'm a professional photographer. I got tired of dragging my D3,D200 or other large cameras around, and worrying about it getting damaged. I decided to buy a camera just for fun that could fit in my purse and I wouldn't have a heart attack if it broke. Well I didn't hold that high of expectations of the camera, but after getting it, I've had a lot of fun with it. Not the most amazing pictures come from it (I am used to very high quality pictures), but they are good enough shots of my family.

I purchased this camera as a replacement for an older Canon powershot that had been dropped 1 too many times. <br/> <br/>I love the improved shutter lag time. (still has one but it is better!) The camera comes on quickly, after you have taken a photo, there is not a long wait before you can take another. I was able to easily capture my busy 3 and 4 year old kids in motion without blur (this is HUGE!). <br/> <br/>The Auto mode is easy to use and so far has taken wonderful photos. I can not speak to the software that came with the camera as I always use picasa to tweak photos and I use the software with Shutterfly to crop or remove redeye before printing them.

The pictures on the camera are very good. It is easy to use (bought for my 7 year old). My only complaint (living in sunny South Florida) is that there is no view finder and the screen is hard to make out in the bright sun. The price is right and the picture quality is good. My daughter loves having her own camera and has been taking lots f pictures with it. I also like that it takes regular batteries which makes it easier for charging or just replacing.

I bought this for my daughter, and she had it working and taking pictures in less than 3 minutes after the initial configuration. Low light, bright light, macro and even stopping the blades of a helicopter with the 1/6000 of a second shutter speed make this camera one with the specifications of a high end model, at an entry-level price.
