- I was looking at this camera for several months debating to buy this or Canon EOS. I have owned previous Canon camera products and thought I would only ever own a Canon camera. Once I tried out the DC500T in my local camera store I knew then I was hooked. I tried the DC500T(Too small for me) and a comparable Canon EOS. The DC500T has the perfect balance and is ergonomically perfect in my opinion. Sure it is slightly larger and heavier than the EOS, but it feels the most solid. All the buttons are well thought out. This is a very nice, but rare situation where the lens actually has more zoom than listed. I carry it with me every time i want take a picture, so easy and convenint.

- I replaced an old HP camera with this Camera and I could not be happier. My mom also has a larger camera but wanted something smaller to take on a trip abroad. We both ended up purchasing the same one. I was so amazed at the quality of the pictures and how much I could zoom in. See attached pics - the first is from where I was sitting in the stadium, the second is zooming in from where I was sitting.
The camera is extremely easy to use, and so is the software once installed. I love the auto focus and face-finding features. I started using some Panasonic rechargeable batteries which died very quickly, but I will get other ones which are a better fit. I am moving abroad soon and cannot wait to take pictures with this camera.

- This is my second digital camera, and they just keep getting better and better. This camera is easy to set up and even easier to use. The recovery time is faster, and the pictures are nearly flawless. Not that crazy about the software with it. I am far from a professional, but when I take photos I expect quality. You will get that with this camera. I am taking a cruise early in 2010, can't wait to put this camera through it's paces.
