How to Use Electric Nose Hair Trimmers:
- Read the owner's manual for your electric nose trimmer prior to starting, so that you will understand all of the features and controls. The owner's manual may also provide effective tips on how to get better results when you use an electric nose hair trimmer
- Use a lighted mirror with magnifying capabilities when you use electric nose hair trimmers for the most thorough and effective trim. At the very least, use the trimmers in a well-lighted location such as a bathroom, or any room that has fluorescent lighting
- Clean your nose thoroughly with a warm, wet washcloth before you use an electric nose trimmer. This will help to remove any dirt or debris that may be hiding in your nostrils. It might also be a good idea to blow your nose, too, to reduce the sneezing reflex as you cut your nose hairs
- Insert the electric nose hair trimmer at the entry of your nostrils and turn it on. Start with the lower hairs first, and trim to the point where your nose air is no longer easily visible when you look straight ahead. Use your fingers to pull the tip of your nose from side to side to trim that hard to reach area at the very front edge of your nostril, toward the center of your nose
- Take a break every minute or two to keep the sneezing reflex from becoming too strong. Note that it is common for your eyes to water a little whenever you trim nose hairs, whether you are using tweezers or an electric trimmer
- Use electric nose hair trimmers for other parts of your body, including your ears and the side of your neck below the shaving line. Many nose hair trimmers were designed to be used on your ears as well
How to Clean Nose Hair Trimmers?
- Though nose hair seems to be more a nuisance than anything else, it is needed to keep dust and debris from making its way into the membranes of our nose. But just because these hairs are an essential part of our health doesn't mean we can't trim them. The clippers used to maintain our appearance need to be cleaned, preferably every time they are used. Doing so will not only lengthen their time of service, but also will prevent any dirt from being brought back into your nose
Instructions
- Wipe away any excess hair, dirt and mucus from the blade with a cleaning brush. Most nose hair clippers are supplied with a cleaning brush to make this process easier
- Remove the blade attachment from the motorized base. The majority of nose hair clippers should have a detachable blade system for cleaning purposes
- Run the blades under warm water to remove any remaining hair, dirt or mucus missed by the cleaning brush. If your nose hair clippers are not cleanable in this fashion (check the packaging before placing under running water), skip this and move directly to the next step
- Submerge the tip of a cotton swab into rubbing alcohol. To ensure that you keep the alcohol free of pollutants, pour a small amount in a small receptacle or even a spoon
- Wipe down the blades with the cotton swab to remove any stuck-on hair, dirt or mucus. Let the blades air-dry before reattaching them to the clippers
Tips & Warnings
- Clean the clippers after you've used them. This means the clippers will be ready for use the next time you need them. To lengthen the time in which your clippers are in good working condition, add a few drops of clipper oil after cleaning

02-06-2012- Other Thoughts: I used this for my nose and ears and it worked great. The rounded cap on top has a blade on the inside, the blade is placed slightly lower than the tip of the cap. High recommend.

03-21-2012- Other Thoughts: This is my first experience owning an electric Nose/Facial Hair Trimmer. Out the box, the trimmer feels nice and lightweight, but the material and build quality is good. The unit uses one AA battery.

12-22-2011- Other Thoughts: This is my first trimmer so I don't have much to compare it to but it does the job. I sometimes have trouble getting a hair or two from my nose though. Not too bad.
