05-27-2011- Other Thoughts: This was labeled with the real "Blackberry" logo on the bottom. It has a mini (not micro) USB connection (consistent with the description as the 8300 has a mini (not micro) connection. I've used it twice and it works as expected.

05-13-2011- Other Thoughts: This charger does exactly what it is supposed to do, I acquired an extra battery and now have a fully charged battery on hand when i need it. A sprint service tech suggested buying one after she could not fix my charging port. It was much cheaper then replace the phone, while changing the battery two days is not best, it is better than buying a new phone.

05-08-2011- Other Thoughts: The charger port on my blackberry is broken and I haven't fixed it yet. While removing the battery completely is not the most convenient way to charge a phone, this device works well using the charger cable that came with my phone. And it arrived via USPS in only 3 days.

05-05-2011- Other Thoughts: One, the price can't be beat even though the shipping cost more than the item itself - Overall the price for a charger was fine by me. <br/>It's simple, does what it's supposed to do and a very straight-forward device. So, this adaptor is perfect and even more so when traveling.

05-02-2011- Other Thoughts: This charger works well for pretty much everything except for my brother's BlackBerry Tour 9630. It's small enough that I can carry it with me when I'm traveling or stay at my friend's. It's great for the price and definitely worth buying! High recommended!

- What are the main features of this charger kit?
The USB desktop cradle allows you to charge your BlackBerry Tour phone and spare battery at the same time via USB port or the home charger. LED power indicator and protection circuit. Smart IC chip technology to prevent overcharging of battery. Portable design and convenient for travelers and business users.
- How should I charge my battery the first time?
For the first 3 charge cycles, a new battery should be fully charged before being used and then allowed to fully discharge before recharging. This will help ensure a true "full charge" of the battery during the first few cycles and will condition the battery for optimal performance. Proper conditioning of a new NiMH battery is critical to achieving optimal performance. While less critical for Lithium-ion batteries, proper conditioning will provide benefits to new Lithium-ion batteries. Note that when a new battery is first charged, it is not unusual for the battery to show a full charge after only a short period of time. If this occurs, keep the battery on the charger overnight to help ensure a true full charge. Removing the battery momentarily from the charger and then replacing it may also help.
- How long does it take to fully charge a battery ?
The time required to charge a battery depends on the battery type, the capacity of the battery, and the type of charger being used. A higher mAh battery will take longer to charge than a lower mAh battery. In general, it will take 3-4 hours to "rapid charge" a battery to the 80% level, and an additional 8 hours to "slow or trickle" charge a battery to the 100% level. A good approach is to charge your battery overnight for about 12 hours.
