The HSP0102 is a tow outputs HDMI splitter. It distributes the HDMI input into tow identical outputs.These tow outputs are synchronized. Series connection of HSP0102 achieves long distance transmission of HDMI signal of more than 15 meters.

- I purchased this item about a year ago, and unlike what at least one other reviewer said, you can view one TV at a time, or both simultaneously. I have my Onkyo HDMI receiver's HDMI output going into this box, and in one of the outputs, I have a 10' HDMI cable to a 42" LCD TV. On the other output, I have a 35' HDMI cable routed to another room to a 37" LCD. I can watch one at a time (either one) or both. Can't get any simpler than that. This is flawless. Make sure to get quality cables if you run lengths, since digital signals in the HDMI format does not use packets, but a steady stream, so quality counts. As for this product, it gets a full 5 stars from me.

- I have a 40" LCD and a projector TV. I bought this because I wanted to run HDMI to both TV's from my Onkyo receiver but only to one at a time. I was hoping that I would be able to have one input and 2 outputs without needing to unplug one from the Onkyo and putting in the other. This item seemed perfect. I would be able to select which TV I wanted to watch at that time and bingo. Well, what I found was that both TV's NEED to be on in order for the box to work. Since there was nothing in the description that said that it would only work when both TV's were on, I gave it 3 stars.

- I just received this unit and am using it to split the single HDMI output from my Cable box to two TV's, one a newer Vizio LCD and the other an older 65" Mitsubishi rear projection with a DVI port. The connection to the Visio is via a 25' HDMI cable, while the connection to the Mitsubishi is via a 10' HDMI to DVI adapter cable.
Contrary to one of the other reviews, only one TV needs to be on at any time for the unit to work. Does a great job with no loss of picture or sound quality, even through the longer HDMI cable and the HDMI to DVI adapter cable.
