How to Choose and Use An iPod Cassette Adapter?
- If you have a cassette deck in your car, and an iPod, purchase a cassette adapter. This cassette shaped device will allow you to listen to your iPod though your car's tape deck.
Instructions:
- Shop for a cassette tape adapter at a local electronics store, big box electronics store, the electronics section of a supermarket, or online. The varying quality of the cassette tape adapters purchased at any of these locations isn't much of an issue.

- Put the cassette tape adapter into the cassette deck of your car.
- Plug the mini jack at the end of the cassette adapter cord into the headphone jack on the top of your iPod.
- Control the volume with both your iPod and the car stereo.
- The iPod volume should be over half-way up in order for the audio to come through the stereo properly.
Tips & Warnings:
- Don't drive while changing songs on your iPod. It's extremely dangerous. Make a playlist before you start driving.

Pros:

This product was exactly what I needed to play my iPod in my car. The sound quality is amazing, and the price can't be beat. Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done.

Cons:

Unfortunately my car has some sort of sensor that ejects cassettes it thinks are "broken," so sometimes it pops this adapter out. But that is an issue with my car, and not with this product.

Other Thoughts:

For the money, this is the way to go!

This gadget is just great. While cassette players in cars are still very common this thing turns them into a mp3-player. And it's portable.

This is a great little product. It lets me listen to the IPOD in the car, no problems at all love it would recommend it to anyone.... I have been reading a lot of bad reviews and I just don't under stand why people are having trouble. Simple product, not a lot of moving parts, pretty much plug and play.

I had read some reviews of various cassette adaptors for IPODs and how the problems they have. So I was somewhat reluctant to purchase one. This works better than I expected. The music clarity is great, I have been using it every day for several weeks without any problems. I had tried an FM transmitter, they are worthless, as it is impossible to find clear frequencies that work. I highly recommend this if you have a cassette player in your car and want to use it to play your IPOD.

I was very impressed. It sounds as good as anything else that I play in the car, you can not buy cassettes anymore but now I can play my iPod and my daughter's MP3. And you can't beat the price.
