Setup is easy. I have no other pros so I'm typing this to fill up the box because they require at least 60 characters.

Cons: 

Does not work in a large metropolitan area (Chicago). The FM signal is so weak that the radio cannot pick it up. On top of that, Dino Direct refuses to give a refund. Now I'm stuck with a $30 Iphone charger. Would be worth the money if it did something.

Welp, I'm always fumbling around with my iPhone 3G in the car. Yup, i'm one of those people. I try not to, i know its bad, but sometimes i need to make a call or pop on my Pandora! Last month, it caught up to me. I got a FAT ticket for using my cell while driving (CA). The ticket cost was OUTRAGEOUS. I decided to try this product to stop my erroneous ways and start OBEYING the law. So far, it has worked great. The Flexpod plugs right into my car's outlet and i just plop my iPhone 3G right into the cradle and take off. My music blasts through my car speakers and sounds wayyyy better than i expected for an FM Transmitter (I've tried different FM Transmitters in the past with older iPods and had lackluster results). The real sweet part about this whole deal are the hands-free phone convos. When i get a phone call, my music fades out and the call fades in. I hit answer and voila! my call comes through my car speakers and i can carry on a perfectly normal conversation...hands-free! You just have to make sure your iPhone's volume is all the way up or else the other person's voice is not super loud. Otherwise, it all sounds really, really good and like i said previously, better than i expected. Hopefully, i can avoid any more HUGE tickets with this product. <br/> <br/>In case you're wondering I drive a Honda Civic DX ('02 BABY!), usually in and around LA (with lots of potential for interference but i havent heard any yet), and I use an iPhone 3G (cause the 3GS aint worth it!).

I bought this product about a week ago. When I first plugged it into my cigarette lighter I immediately noticed radio interference, I tried tuning the device and my stereo to different frequencies and it didn't help much. However, the device works and I can hear the iPod of my iphone play on the radio but with a little buzzing sound in the background, if you turn the volume up enough you can't really hear it. The hands free also works good but sometimes people tell me that they can hear a small eco on their side of the call. I'm not entirely sure if it's the device that causes the interference or if it's just my car because I've plugged in other charging devices into the cigarette lighter and I always have the same interference problem. I don't want to recommend it because I'm not entirely happy with it, but who knows maybe you will have better luck in your car, so I don't want to say not to try it. I will continue to use it because the buzzing is really not that noticeable once I'm playing music.

I needed something that would let me enjoy the contents of my iPod Nano 4G during my anticipated long distance drive over the holiday weekend. I tested this puppy out and it is simply wonderful! As noted by other customers, the FM transmitter gives out the clearest audio I have ever heard--no static whatsoever! It's setup to allow the user to easily control/view their mobile Apple device while having it charge. The plug is ingeniously engineered to where you can easily manipulate this plug from fully plugged in to partially unplugged-- this device is reinforced at the plug to stay put if you leave it slightly unplugged. Awesome!--no constant putting away/setting up routines! The USB jack allows me to trickle-charge my phone. 1 plug for both of my most important mobile devices. I am extremely pleased and impressed! A+++++ <br/> <br/>EDIT 8 JUN 09--After having used it since my trip, I have noticed the signs of shoddy workmanship that some of the more critical customers identified. I had issues with the bottom "prongs" that give the iPod footing inside the mount. The bottom would occasionally open and cause these things to fall out. If I were to lose either of these pieces it wouldn't be able to hold the device anymore--game over. It also has little to no resistance rotating in the outlet--especially with a heavier iPhone--resulting in more frustration than it's worth. I cannot say I would recommend to another customer at this point, since this thing might fall apart on me I'll probably have to get something else that's more built to last soon. A very good concept, but they have a lot of work to do to make this product perfect. I would now downgrade it to 3 stars.

This is a very convenient way to play your iPod in your car. I love how the iPod is mounted and out of the way when I don't need it. The quickscan option is great for quickly finding the best station and the charger is a must if you use your player as much as I do. <br/> <br/>Notes for buyers: <br/>1. This is called the Accessory Power Go Grove Flex Pod if you want to buy it elsewhere. <br/>2. Watch the iPod settings, you'll need to adjust your EQ on the iPod so the heavier sounds aren't distorted by the player. I turned my EQ off, and it helps for most music, some of the bassier stuff sounds off at times. That is why i didn't give it a 5/5, but sound quality overall is good, especially for a transmitter.
