CPU Cooler Cooling Fan Related Problems
- If your laptop feels very hot and shuts down without any warning, it's possible that you have a faulty fan. Listen for the fan. Is it working? Sometimes you can see the fan through the fan grill on the bottom of the laptop. Can you see the fan spinning?
- If the fan never starts, probably it is bad and has to be replaced.
- When the fan bearing goes bad, the fan starts making grinding noise. In this case you'll have to replace the fan.
- If your CPU fan works hard all the time, most likely it happens because the heatsink is dirty and is clogged with dust and lint. You can clean the heatsink using compressed air

- Before attaching a new cooling fan, apply a thin layer of thermal paste to the top of the processor chip
- Place the cooling fan over the processor -- there's a plastic frame to ensure it's correctly positioned over the CPU
- Lock the cooling fan in place with a pair of spring clips or a series of plastic studs that lock into the mounting frame. Make sure that these are firmly fastened
- Plug in the power cable from the cooling fan and your system is ready to go

SUPER quiet. Surprisingly blows a lot of air. The LED is not as bright but it works. Good fan, might get a couple more.

Fan works great. Tons of air flow over my receiver. Not so quiet though. I got it to cool the receiver on my surround sound and when its quiet during the movie you can hear the fan way too well. It is registering near 40-45 db from 10 ft away. :( Maybe a enclosing it and getting it out of a direct line of sight will help.

I was kind of skeptical at first but after the first week of installing this fan in my case I love it. It keeps my system temp at no higher than 84 degrees. Would recommend for anybody that needs better system cooling fan.

When you buy a cooler master product you know you can't go wrong. I bought one of the 120mm green led fans plus one with red leds and another one with blue leds. They work like a charm. Quiet and reliable. I'm very happy with them and I'd recommend them to anyone.

In my opinion this heatsink fan system is the best air cooling you can get for a CPU. I have ran mine for 2 years now on an overclocked P4 HT, I tried other heat sink coolers and they could hold there own...when loud. This is amazinly quiet, my case fan is louder than it, my temp went from 80 C peak to 42C peak. That is what reminded me to write this review.
