How to Fix Pen Holder:

• Assemble the pieces of the broken pen holder in a vague outline of its original form, making sure that all (or most) of the pieces are found
• Apply a thin layer of superglue to one of the pieces and stick it to its neighboring piece(s)
• Hold the pieces together in position until the glue sets, which usually takes anywhere from 10 seconds to a few minutes
• Repeat with the other fragmented pieces until the pen holder is reassembled once more

How to Make a Pen Holder:

• Choose an empty tin can, such as the kind you buy for soup or vegetables. File down any sharp areas on the can. Remove the label from the can and wash the can with soap and water. Let it dry
• Cut a strip of colorful shelf liner paper, also sometimes called contact paper, to match the height and circumference of the can, adding one extra inch to the length of the circumference. Peel the paper backing off the contact paper and wrap it gently around the can, overlapping the edges
• Add stickers onto the outside of the can. For more texture and options, look in the scrapbooking aisle of your local craft store and choose stick-on embellishments that match your home or office decor or have images of things you enjoy. Add these to the outside of the can
• Fill the can with pens and display it on your desk or shelf
