Types of iPod Charger:
- Solar Powered charging unit: When you own more than one cell phone in addition to an iPod it is obvious that you will require as many chargers. But not anymore because the solar powered chargers available these days are more than enough for any travelling experience. One plus point is that they charge with the solar energy of the sun and hence a lot of electric energy can be conserved. This is an eco friendly way of consuming power. It is compatible with almost all types of iPods, including Nano and Touch. These are portable units and helpful in situations when you are not near any power supply unit
- Wall Outlet charging unit: This is also known as a main charging unit. It is a regular unit which can be connected to a wall power outlet. These units automatically stop the charging process once your device is fully charged
- In-car charging unit: A busy person easily forgets a charger, but there is no need to worry because in-car charging devices are also available these days. You can get your device powered up while you are in your car
- USB Retractable Charging Cable for Apple: Usually, all Apple iPods come with these kinds of charging devices. They are to be connected to the USB port of your computer so that you can get your device charged up. You can use it in your home, office or even in your car if you have a laptop

06-23-2009- Other Thoughts: I bought this wall charger since my I-pod comes only with the usb cable and the only way I could charge it was through my computer, now with this charger I don't have the hassle of turning on my computer everytime to charge my i-pod. I've benn using it for about a week and it has been working great. A good product at a good price.

- How do I fix a broken charger plug?
Cut off the broken plug. Buy a new one. You can get a type that just clamps on the end of the wire, but charger wire is generally small and it might not work. Get a plug with screws for the wires to attach to. Split the two wires and bare the copper for 1/2-3/4 inch, twist it so it doesn't get frayed. Wrap one wire around each screw, tighten the screw and put the cover, etc. back on the plug and you're good to go.
- What is the difference between an AC Adapter and a battery charger?
AC and DC are completely different. If you plug AC, it will not work or will fry the circuits if the voltage is rated to high. You must get an adapter that puts out the required DC voltage and the amperage in order to work.
- Can I use iPod/iPhone charger on a different phone?
No, most phone chargers are just used for that specific phone, so there will probably be limited chance for it to work.
