How to Use Cosmetics Makeup Safely
You're pressed for time, you have to make an appearance at an important business meeting and are supposed to be looking and feeling your best and at the top of your game. However, you've had your make-up on for 10 hours. Most of it has disappeared or is smudged and smeared. You don't have the time or the necessary tools available to put on an entirely new face so what do you do? You have just a few products in your purse. How can you get the most mileage of the items that you have on hand?
- Lipstick can double as a blusher in a pinch. If the lipstick is darker than what you would normally would use on your cheeks use it sparingly and blend thoroughly so you don't end up looking like a clown. It works. No one will know that you've smeared lipstick on your cheeks to get that rosy glow. Conversely, blusher can be used as lipstick if necessary. It will give your lips a nice, soft sheen.
- Eyebrow pencil can be used as eyeliner and vice versa.
- Under eye concealer can also double as spot coverage for pesky pimples. Dab it on the outbreak and gently blend it in.
- Concealer, that is a bit lighter than your skin's natural shade, can also be used, in an emergency, to highlight the area under your eyebrows if that's a look you like.
- Moist, disposable baby wipes, which are normally used for wiping, are great for removing smeared make-up, especially under the eyes. If you have some on hand, use them. If your face is in desperate need of moisturizing, use hand cream if that's all you have available.

03-11-2011- Other Thoughts: I've been using this powder puff for a few months now and I love it. Although the stuffing inside the sponge gets a little screwed up after the first wash, it's not a major problem and I've gotten used to it now (you just have to use your fingers to move the stuffing around while you're washing it so that it doesn't all end up in one corner of the sponge). I tried to wash them in the machine but that did not get the make-up off very well so I have to wash them by hand, which I do every week (it dries fast too).

02-23-2011- Other Thoughts: I really like these puffs and I bought them because it says you can wash and reuse them. I still have yet to put them in the washing machine, but I really like the way they feel. At first they did not fit in my compact, but after using it a few weeks the puff compacted a bit and then I was able to close the compact all the way.
