    iPhone 3G does not turn on after changing Battery

    I just changed my iphone 3g's battery and I'm now having problems with my iphone, it does not turn on.
    When I keep my finger on the sleep/wake button, the Apple logo appears, stays there for a few seconds, and then it shuts down.
    I've tried resetting the iPhone, the Apple logo appears and then same thing, the iPhone shuts down.
    If it makes a difference, my iPhone was jailbreaked using BlackRa1n (firmware 3.1.2)
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I'm not sure if it's worth mentioning, but the Apple logo only appears if the iPhone is being charged. When the phone's not charging, the LCD kind of just "flashes" and stays black.

    While your iPhone is plugged into the computer, make sure it is turned off, Hold the home and power buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds. After ten seconds release only the power button and continue to hold the home button for 10-15 seconds more. Release when iTunes recognizes theiphone.

    Have you attempted to DFU mode restore the phone?
