    iPod on iPhone not working

    Hi all.
    I've just recently noticed that the iPod app on my iPhone 3GS has stopped working. When I try and launch it it opens to a blank screen and then immediately closes again. I also noticed that despite having over 10GB of songs loaded on it, the "About" section in settings reports I have 0 songs!
    My iPhone is not jailbroken and I'm running 3.1.2.
    This is strange and worrying. Any help?

    Does a restore wipe everything? E.g. Contacts, calenders, settings, etc?
