Laptop charger

So I've been busting my balls for the past 4 hours trying to fix my friends laptop. The plug that you insert the charger into has separated from the board. I've fixed this twice before but it has separated again and again. I even superglued it after re-soldering it back on. All day I have soldered and re-soldered but the piece and where it connects to on the board is just so far gone that it won't get a good connection anymore. The board is obviously damaged but it still works with a battery. I'd like to just hook the charger directly to where the battery hooks up. What hurdles do I have to jump to make this happen? The charger outputs 19v and the battery is 14.8v.
