    the only good cheap throwers that use AA are the zoomable lights like the sipik sk68(less of 10$) romisen RC-G2/RC-29(less of 20$) etc...

    thare are others more of less bright that use more of 1 AA like a fenix http://www.dinodirect.com/fenix-led-flashlight-760lumens-tk45-currency-EUR.html
    but i guess is out of budget :P
