hey guys..just bought a 3gs and one annoying thing is that in order to see the time..i need to swipe and then have a look.. is there any app or any other way of having the time left on the idle screen..my e71 use to do it beautifully..im sure its possible.. also is there any other way of quickly dialling out?? at the moment..i have to: 1) press home button 2) swipe 3) scroll to the contacts icon 4) scroll to the contact and then hit dial. on my e71..i use to hit the first letter of the name and then scroll through to the contact and then hit dial..nice n easy..how do you do it?

On my iPhone 3G the time is always on the locked screen (so it's just a matter of pressing Home once) as well as at the top of all the apps screens. In some programs it still shows (eg. in videos you can tap the screen to see the time at the top).
For numbers I call often, I add to my favourites list.
Or I can press Home, Home (to enter search mode), then type name of person.
