How to Clean Up After an Alkaline Battery Leaks:

Determine if the battery in question really is an alkaline battery. You should be able to tell this if you look closely at the battery in question. The outside of the battery should indicate what type of battery you have on your hands. If you are unsure contact the manufacturer. You will probably see a white paste on the outside if the battery in question is an alkaline battery
