How to Store CD & DVD Disks:
A CD or DVD is worthless if the data side of the disc has nothing but scratches and dirt all over it. The CD or DVD drive being used to read the laser won't be able to access the data, essentially making the disc itself a brand new drink coaster. This happens when CDs and DVDs are not stored properly. How to properly store CDs and DVDs seems like common sense, but it is ultimately important to make sure your important data isn't lost.
- Buy a CD/DVD storage book. These are high-quality, durable books that have clear plastic sleeves designed to hold CDs and DVDs. The front of each sleeve is clear so you can see the writing on the label side of the disc, and the side of the case that rubs against the data side of the disc is made of soft material to prevent scratches.
- Buy jewel cases--the hard plastic cases that professionally manufactured CDs come in when you buy them in stores. You can buy blank cases at stores like Best Buy in packages of 10, 20 and even 100, so you'll have somewhere to store the discs you've made yourself.
- Buy plastic DVD cases. Any major electronics retailer sells blank versions of the hard plastic cases that professionally manufactured DVDs come in. These cases even have a clear plastic cover perfect for storing your own custom made cover art.
- Keep discs away from heat. If you've ever wondered why the CDs you keep in your car don't seem to last as long as those you keep in your house, the simple answer is the heat is literally destroying them. If moisture from excessive heat gets between the clear plastic layer on the data side of the disc and the actual data layer, the disc is effectively ruined.

05-11-2011- Other Thoughts: I ordered two of these, and am thinking of ordering a third. <br/> <br/>I needed somewhere I could store my 3 year old son's dvds so I don't have to constantly put DVD cases back on the shelf. He can zip it open and pull out dvds with ease and without scratching. <br/> <br/>It's not incredibly "nice" looking, but it is efficient and priced perfectly. I would recommend it.

04-28-2011- Other Thoughts: I bought this to house my children's DVDs and it has worked brilliantly for that purpose. The kids are constantly unzipping and zipping, pulling DVDs in and out. The plastic that holds the DVD in isn't as strong as it could be, I think, but so far it's held up nicely. The outside of the case is smooth and streamline.

04-14-2011- Other Thoughts: This was a great case if you are like me and have a small collection of related DVDs that you want in one place. You can throw this into your laptop bag and keep everything safe. Like other case logic cases, the quality is superb and the sleeves hold your DVDs securely without risk of damaging them. This case didn't have a handle, but for a case so small it really wasn't a necessity IMHO.

I purchased one myself to keep all the CD's I collect for my birds that listen to music. <br/>My mother, who collects CD's does not know how to keep them in one place. My husband and I told her about CD Wallets. Forget about the cases. Keep them in a secure place where she knows they are. <br/>The one I purchased was so good, I'm now purchasing one for my mother, so she can gather all her CD's, place them in to this wallet, and know where exactly to find them.

03-31-2011- Other Thoughts: I read a previous review that helped. The review said it was possible to get one binder and extra sheets. I found that the binder held about half the packet of extra sheets before it started to look over-filled. <br/>I like the appearance of the binder itself.
