How Can I Use My Stereo Speakers With an iPod:
Most people use the Apple iPod as a personal music player with headphones, but the device can also transmit music with high quality over massive speaker systems. Some musicians and DJs even use the iPod for backing tracks at live shows. Most likely, though, your stereo did not come with iPod functionality, especially if you have had it for a few years, and so you will likely need to take some steps in order to set up your iPod to play through your speakers

How to Charge an iPod While Playing Music:
When the iPod appeared on the market, it gave birth to a new generation of on-the-go music players. Many feel that the iPod has rendered portable cassette and CD players obsolete, eliminating the need to constantly buy and change batteries. It provides users with hours of entertainment--until its battery needs to be recharged. Avoid disappointment and get more use out of your iPod by charging it and using it to listen to music simultaneously

Package Included:
If your iPod speakers have an "Audio In" feature. It works by connecting a two-way audio-cord that connects to your MP3's headphone jack. Try looking around your iPod speakers for a hole that looks like an earphone hole. If there is, then you can listen to your MP3 on your iPod speakers.
It will work on any that also have a headphone plug. So you can plug in it to the headphone jack on a Shuffle (just like normal headphones).
1. If you have a component-style speaker system then you just need to go to an electronics store and buy a 3.5mm headphone to RCA chord - it had two "male" ends (one white, one red). You just plug the two ends into any place (phono or cd for example), set the stereo to it, and play the ipod.
2. If you have a shelf system (all-in-one set) then you need to look for inputs. These will usually be on the back of the stereo somewhere. They will most likely be RCA inputs, but occasionally they have headphone inputs. Get the right kind of chord and plug it in. To listen to the ipod, set your stereo to Aux input (short for auxiliary). If your shelf system does not have an Aux setting, then chances are you cannot play your ipod on it.
3. If you have a computer speaker system, then there should be a headphone chord included which you plug into your ipod and play from there. If you play and no sound is coming out of the speakers then try turning the volume on the ipod up.
