How to Install Under Car Lights:
Underbody light kits are available in many different styles and colors, and provide a number of possibilities for the car enthusiast to give their ride a clean and modern look. Most kits come in two different styles: neon and LED. LED lights, while not as bright in the daytime as their neon counterparts, are usually the best option as they are more durable, operate better in cold climates and are available in more colors- Determine the best mounting location. Most kits come with four light-bars. The two short light-bars are designed to be mounted perpendicularly to the car near the front and rear bumpers, and the two longer light-bars should run parallel to the car on either side. Ideally the bars will be mounted such that the bars themselves cannot be seen and only the reflection of the colored lights on the ground are visible
- Mount the light-bars using self-tapping screws and the provided mounting hardware. If additional support is needed, nylon wire ties may be used. Do not mount light-bars near moving parts or sources of excessive heat, such as the radiator or exhaust
- Run the wires from the light-bars to the engine compartment. Cover any exposed wires with automotive wire loom and secure them to the vehicles frame with nylon wire ties
- Ground the lights to the vehicles inner fender by scraping off the paint and attaching the lights ground to the fender with a ring terminal and a self tapping screw
- Determine how you wish to activate the lights. If you want the lights to come on when you are driving, connect the power lead to the parking light circuit. If a switch is to be used, run the wires for the switch from the inside of the car to the engine compartment through the firewall using a factory grommet. Connect one side of the switch to the vehicle's positive battery terminal, and the other to the positive lead from the light-bar wiring harness. Protect the lights and vehicle by placing a 10 amp fuse in-line with the switch and battery. Test for function by turning the switch to the on position and looking for illumination
Warnings:
- Pick a color that compliments the vehicle on which the lights are being installed. Many LED kits are available in multiple color models that allow the user to change the color as they see fit
- Before driving with an underbody light kit, check the laws in your area. Many communities have laws that prohibit certain colors for on-road use

01-05-2011- Other Thoughts: very well and arrived intact even with a hole punched through both the outer and inner boxes <br/>This product was bought in mine for using as a light for when I escort fallen troops or welcoming home troops as a patriot guard rider. Its works great I just had to glue a piece on that enables the light to turn.

03-30-2011- Other Thoughts: I got this light and I loved it. It was great except for the cord should have been about 2 ft longer and the magnetic a little stronger, since my flew off in a massive wind storm we had here recently, I do plan on buying another one in the near future.

01-01-2011- Other Thoughts: The lights are very bright. The lights are NOT made for outside the car! With just those two it really lights up the interior. I also put one in the trunk, which looks really awesome when you turn it on. Wiring is really not hard if you know what you're doing. If you don't, just look it up online, there are a lot of guides to explain it for you.

01-26-2011- Other Thoughts: It is possible to take the flat bulb out with him very well if a problem will not be later with him. Was very easy to exchange. It was necessary to pay attention to the polarity not being all the same at these. If I place it in reversely into the socket, then does not light. But works turned over already perfectly, and nicely lights!

02-02-2011- Other Thoughts: Cheaper than bought locally, which is a pro for those items. <br/>Reliability on the other hand might be issue, if the item happens to be wired incorrectly. <br/>Like them. The light strong, and much more beautiful, than for the flat bulb. I am very satisfied with him.

- How hard are the underglow kits to install, could I do this myself?
None of the LED or Neon lighting is difficult to install. It is however time consuming if you've never done it before. Each of the lighting kits does include complete installation instructions which are easy to understand and follow. If you take your time during the installation you should have no problems. But if your not comfortable installing the lights, then I do recommend you have it professionally installed.
- How do these lights hook up?
All of our lighting products are powered by the 12 volt standard 2 wire hook up. Which is basically your car battery, or if you have knowledge of automotive wiring you can tie into any 12 volt power source in your vehicle. Some of our products have an inline fuse included with the kit to protect your lighting against power surges from your car battery (This is applicable if you connect your lighting direct to your car or truck battery).
- What color would you recommend?
This always does vary with your personal preference but a good guide is that most people try to go with the same color as their vehicle. Of course in the case where your car is black, most go wtih a blue or green. Just make sure you double check with your local police dept. in regards to the legalities of your lights.
