How to Protect Keyboard Covers:
- Keyboard covers are protective sheets that fit over a keyboard to prevent water, dust and dirt from entering into the system. Beverage spill on an unprotected keyboard will likely result in a short and require the keyboard or an entire laptop computer to be replaced. You need to take care of the keyboard cover if you want to make it last longer and protecting it from damage requires regular maintenance
- Instructions
- Wipe down the keyboard protector regularly with a cotton ball and either water or a small amount of rubbing alcohol to help disinfect it from germs and eliminate dirt
- Remove the keyboard protector weekly to more thoroughly clean it. Most varieties can simply be pulled off
- Wash the keyboard protector under warm water with mild soap to eliminate dirt and debris that formulates under the protector while on the keyboard. Dry the protector completely before placing it back on the keyboard
- Avoid bending the protector when it is not on the keyboard. While it has a certain amount of flexibility, bending it completely will cause a crease to form that makes it harder to fit back on a keyboard comfortably. Rolling the protector can potentially warp it as well and should be avoidable
- Keep beverages and food away from the keyboard as much as possible. While the keyboard protector is designed to protect the keyboard from spillage, the protector itself will last longer the less it comes into contact with food and drinks
How to Clean a Laptop Skin:
- Turn your computer off but keep it open with the keyboard exposed
- Spray rag with disinfectant. Do not get the rag wet, just damp
- Wipe the keyboard with the rag. Make sure to wipe in between the keys with the rag. This is best done by lightly brushing the cloth across the keyboard to remove any loose dust or dirt. Press firmly but not hard as you clean the top of the keys
- Remove the skin if you want to do a more thorough cleaning. This isn't necessary for day-to-day cleaning but can help to keep the skin in pristine condition. Clean it with the same disinfectant on both sides. Be sure to let the skin completely dry before returning it over the keyboard

05-20-2011- Other Thoughts: I am a big fan of the black keys and with the clear bottom. It is also very thin on the keys which makes typing on it much more pleasurable than other covers I've tried. I tend to forget there is a cover on the keyboard. Much preferred to the shiny wear that has started on my actual keyboard.

05-13-2011- Other Thoughts: This product it is just as advertised, very cheap and it does it job, just 2 cons: keys are opaque so you will have a considerable light reducction comming from the keyboard, the feeling while typing will change, keys feel harder to hit.

05-06-2011- Other Thoughts: This keyboard cover is really cheap and does a great job of protecting my keyboard from dust buildup. It also prevents the keys from becoming "shiny" from normal wear and tear of regular typing.

05-02-2011- Other Thoughts: this thing is so cool it feels all soft and meshy and you cant even tell its on here but the problem is that it is kind of hard to type with but overall its amazing and i would reccomend this product to anyone also say that it fits
