Binder clips are most often used in offices for holding pieces of paper together. They hold more paper together than paper clips. Binder clips also can be used in a variety of other useful ways.

- Binder clips come in a variety of sizes. The smallest clips can hold up to a one-quarter inch of paper. The largest clips can handle more than an inch.

- Instructions
- Gather the papers together that you wish to secure and arrange them into a neat pile or stack.
- Select a binder clip in a size that will fit the papers you wish to secure. Look at the piled papers you gathered and note how thick the stack of papers is. The binder clip you use to secure the papers must be wider at the plastic or metal back of the clip than the stack of papers is high.
- Fold back both wire ends of the binder clip to enable you to pinch them together. This pinching action will open the binder clip.
- Pinch the wire ends together to open the plastic or metal portion of the binder clip.
- Place the open binder clip over the stacked papers at an edge. Common placement for a binder clip on a stack of papers is one in the upper left corner or several along the left edge of the papers.
- Release the wire ends to allow the plastic or metal portion of the binder clip to secure tightly around the papers.
- Fold the wire ends of the binder clip down so they lie flat on the top side of the papers and the bottom side of the papers.
- Add a second and even a third binder clip to the stack of papers to secure the papers together further, if you desire.

06-04-2011- Other Thoughts: As I'm working on family finances, paying bills at home, doing family budgeting, filling out the kid's school paperwork, etc. it's easy for items to get misplaced. With these clips, I can keep items together and the different colors can help if you want to color code items (i.e. red = top priority, yellow = medium priority, green = low priority, etc.).

05-17-2011- Other Thoughts: While these are great clips, please note that their capacity is NOT 1-1/4" as the description implies. This is the LENGTH of the clip. Their capacity is only 5/8". You can see this if you click on the image to see a larger version, and read the fine-print in the little red lines.

05-20-2011- Other Thoughts: These are binder clips. They work fine. I got 4 boxes at a great price from Amazon - less than .10/clip. Chip bag. Cereal bags. Bookmark. Garden soil bag. Sometimes I even use it to hold pieces of paper. I put it in the same category as duct tape - though obviously nowhere near as useful. It's a multi-purpose, jack-of-many-trades clip.

06-02-2011- Other Thoughts: Binder clips are great. We use them all the time - in all sizes and colors. The micro size is so much more secure than paper clips. The larger sizes provide professional looking binding when you have a large batch of papers to bind.
