How to Quickly Sharpen Craft Scissors:
Even if you are just using your craft scissors to cut construction paper and yarn, after too much action they will get dull. Fortunately, getting them sharp again will take less time then planning out your next decoupage project!
- Instructions
- Fill a container that is deep enough to fit the craft scissors with warm soapy water.
- Hold the scissor blades in the water. Open and close the scissors to make sure all parts are wet, for about 10 seconds. This will remove any glue, paper bits, yarn threads or glitter on the craft scissors.
- Remove the scissor blades and shake off the excess water. Rinse off the blades with clean water from the tap. Dry off the blades with the paper towel until they are completely dry.
- Hold the scissors in one hand and open the blades.
- Pick up the piece of tin foil and fold it over one of the scissor blades. Rub the blade gently but firmly with the tin foil, making sure to give every surface some attention. continue for about 20-30 seconds.
- Repeat on the other blade.
- Take a dry piece of paper towel and wipe off any excess dust that may have been created.
- You scissors are sharp and you can continue to craft!

05-13-2011- Other Thoughts: I recently purchased a pair of Bent Multi-Purpose Scissors for my niece who is left-handed. For years she has struggled with products made for right-handed people but has never uttered a word to describe the awkwardness she experienced. To my delight, she immediately picked up these scissors and could cut without any pain! I had never really thought about being left-handed and how that might impose a number of problems but I now view being left-handed as being a special gift when I see how happy my niece is!

05-07-2011- Other Thoughts: The left handed version of these scissors are the best scissors I've owned for cutting fabric with. I've had my pair for years. The movement is very smooth and tight and the scissors themselves are very sharp. I oil them lightly after every use to prevent rust and to make sure they are clean before I put them away. <br/>Very well made. Since my whole family is left-handed I got a pair for my daughter, same quality, same smooth fit and easy use. They are built substantially and cut cleanly. Recommended.

04-09-2011- Other Thoughts: I have purchased many pairs of this brand, not because they have worn out or have broken but because I wanted to replace any that I need to use with these. I have several pairs at home and replaced the ones at work at my own expense. There are no better that I have found. They are sturdy, fit your hand, stay as sharp as they were when new forever, and eliminate all those annoying snags and stalls of inferior scissors. So if your scissors have any problems at all and you need to reduce just one source of frustration at work or home, just get these scissors, they don't cost that much.

04-02-2011- Other Thoughts: Whether you buy them new or use them for years, these babies are right on the mark. They cut a crisp, clean line through paper and can be used for fabric, hair or just about anything else that needs cutting. If you cut hair and/or fabric, however, it's a good idea to have a different pair for each thing you're cutting. Scissors dedicated to cutting fabric won't always do well on paper or hair and vice versa.
