How to Open a Heavy Duty Stapler:

Aside from its common primary function of holding together sheets of loose paper, there are marked differences in opening the stapler for heavy duty staples compared to the smaller, standard staplers with which most of us are familiar. Although the method is different, opening a heavy duty stapler is usually not difficult once you understand its design- Look for a button or a lever at the rear of the unit. This indicates where the row of staples is located
- Press in, and then either firmly up, or down on this lever (this will depend on the make and model of your heavy duty stapler). The interior tray that holds the staples should present itself by extending outward
- Pull out the interior tray so that it can be loaded with the correct brand of heavy duty
- Place a row of staplers, with their points down, onto the tray
- Push the loaded tray back into the stapler unit with one smooth motion. Press until it audibly clicks into place
How to Fix a Swing line Stapler:

Swing line manufactures staplers, pencil sharpeners, paper punchers and other office equipment. A stapler is a valuable, useful devise until it breaks. Desk staplers are broken due to slamming the top down roughly, using the incorrect staples and overfilling the staple tray. Most often, staplers stop working because staples get jammed in the stapler. Fortunately, it's a fairly straightforward job to remove jammed staples and restore your stapler to working condition- Grasp the stainless-steel bottom of the stapler in one hand. Carefully lift the acrylic/plastic top of the stapler with your other hand. This will provide access to the staple
- Remove all the good staples from the staple tray. Shake the stapler upside down to remove any unseen staples. The staple tray should be clear of staples, except for any that are jammed
- Pick up your tweezers or similar tool. Grip the jammed staple and lift up to remove it. If the staple is still jammed, twist the tool to pry up the staple. Remove any remaining staple pieces, if necessary
- Replace the staples in the staple tray. Test your stapler to make sure that you've cleared the jam and the stapler is working properly again

- Do I throw out your last few staples in your stapler?
No, the stapler works right down to the last one. Either add more before you get to low or get a better quality stapler.
- Can I hang wallpaper with a stapler?
It can be done, but the weight of the paper, will eventually cause it to tear. Plus you have to repair all the holes from the staples, when you remove it. If you decide to hang it in the normal way, remember, that there are several solutions that are made to remove wall paper. They can be mixed with hot water, and sprayed on using a garden sprayer. After ten minutes the paper comes down, fairly easily. I've done it this way, and know that it works.
- What makes a spatula or a stapler a lever?
A lever is a rigid bar that pivots at a point called the "fulcrum" and is used to move things. The fulcrum can be anywhere along the lever. The thing that you are moving is called the "load," and the force applied on the lever is simple referred to as the "force." A seesaw is a good example of a lever that has the fulcrum in the middle. The riders take turns being the load or the force, depending upon whether they are pushing up or gliding down.
