11-10-2011- Other Thoughts: Good Camera Battery Grip. Helps balance weight, especially for heavier lenses and when shooting portrait (vertical) shots. My main lens is a heavy f2.8 and I immediately noticed a difference in the camera's stability. For the price, it's well worth buying

11-08-2011- Other Thoughts: This Nikon Battery Grip is a replacement. Last one broke when I dropped camera. It took the fall instead of the body. Like the feel on the camera. The extra vertical shutter release is important during sporting events. Battery door flimsy. Had trouble with older unit and power contacts. During image transfer to card, power would cut out, corrupting file. Replacement has no problems. Love the extra battery capacity during all day shoots.
