Weapons, jewelry, armor, wings, goggles, instruments, and countless other possible additions will really make your costume stand out from the crowd. When considering how to make your props or accessories, the cheapest material is cardboard and duct tape, but it's highly recommended that you avoid settling for such a basic and boring option. You would do much better to try working with paper mache, for example. Using sheets of craft foam or fun foam is even better, and clays like Sculpey and Fimo can give you good results as well
