What's difference between quality of headphone and earphone?
In ear, earphones actually go inside your ear, where as headphones sit on your ear. You can actually hear sounds that your ear would not pick up just listening from a stereo system. You can pick up the highs and lows, they are crisp and clean sound. All earphones come with a pack of various sizes of foam ear pieces which you can squeeze and and place in your ear, they will then expand and form a tight seal, so all you get is the sound of music and it will block outside sounds from your surroundings.

Earphone used to reduce noise in office ?
Yes, great idea. Buy some heavy closed-cup cans that cover the ears for good results. They're not quite earmuffs, but they do help. Cheap ones will let sound inside and offer poor fidelity. They may also break very quickly.

How to clean earphone connector?
Have you noticed any problems with your ear phones? if not, you are fine and no cleaning is necessary. It is much more likely that any problems that you have will be with the wires inside the cord.
