Welcome to this pafe! You are viewing a 4 Channels Passive Video BNC UTP Balun Transceiver XYL-QC-204.The Video BNC UTP Balun Transceiver is passive device that allows the transmission of real-time monochrome (B/W) or color video via unshielded twisted-pair(UTP) cable. Baseband (composite) signals of any type are supported. The Passive Video Balun Transceiver can be used as both transmitter and receiver. Transceivers negate the need to have both a listening and transmitting radio. There are savings in both space and money. Portable walkie talkies in particular are frequently used by staff at events and in, for example, casinos. The transmitting and receiving sections share certain components like circuitry, antennas, power source and controls.

    About Transceiver:

    • Hand-held radio transceivers operate on narrow band frequencies.Radio waves are the part of the electromagnetic spectrum with the longest wavelengths. A transceiver is a type of radio equipment that can both transmit and receive this long wavelength radiation to communicate with other people or share to data. Transceivers are more common than you might think. Amateur radio hobbyists and CB enthusiasts talk to one another using transceivers. A walkie-talkie is a radio transceiver and so is your cell phone. Even the wireless router connected to many computers is a type of radio transceiver

    Frequency Coverage

    • The Federal Communications Commission regulates the frequencies that different types of communications equipment may transmit and receive. Transceivers of different types are built so that they transmit and receive signals at the range of frequencies allocated for that type of equipment. Frequency ranges are allocated for mobile phone, 2-way radio, citizens band and amateur radio transceivers. According to the National Association for Amateur Radio, amateur radio transceivers operate at set wavelengths from 23 centimeters up to 160 meters. Frequency availability is determined by the class of license the operator holds

    Transmitter Power

    • The transmitter inside each type of transceiver is designed to operate at a set power level. The output power is measured in watts. A walkie-talkie type hand held transceiver will have a power out put of around 5 watts. This means that the transmitter inside sends a signal at 5 watts of power through the antenna. Base transceiver units and CB radio transceivers operate at higher power levels. The instruction manual for a VHF/HF transceiver provided to students by the University of Indiana describes the transmitter power of the base unit to be between 5 and 100 watts when transmitting an FM signal and between 5 and 40 watts for AM signal transmission

    Software Defined Radio Transceivers

    • ICs and software process the signal in SDR radio transceivers.Software Defined Radio transceivers bring amateur radio into the digital domain by combining radio with computers. A SDR transceiver converts the analog radio signal to a digital signal and uses software to process and filter the signal for transmission. SDR transceiver software is configurable to allow the transceiver to operate in the narrow band unlicensed frequencies or in the licensed amateur radio bands. According to the EURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, the transceiver sends the input signal through the processor where it is filtered and optimized by the software. The signal is then passed through a converter circuit that changes it from an analog signal to a digital signal. It is then broadcast through the antenna. The type of signal that is broadcast is determined by wireless transmission standards issued by the FCC

Easy to use

none

very good, could have mounting lugs though. you must though have your system planned out first, as well as realise that you need at least two if only running coax from cameras

Video Balun

Is a surveillance camera system doable within the realm of your average homeowner? Yes and no. Depends how much experience you have. If running a simple light circuit is a daunting task then yeah, call up an electrician who knows what he is doing. You must plan your entire system out first on paper before ordering all the goodies. CCTV cameras do work as a deterrent. Sad to state, yet true. People's behaviour is altered if they know they are "made."

Video Audio balun
00:00:00 06-01-2011
I purchased video baluns that look like these from another company at a much higher price ($35.00). I thought I try these at half the cost an after they arrived I found them to be in a different package and both were made in China, identical right down to the stickers. I have used these for at least 5 months now and the quality of video is great. <br/>Why pay more for the same product, I highly recommend these.

Works very well

I have been using these Baluns for several weeks to connect to a 12v high resolution color underwater video camera through a 500' cat5e cable. Image is perfect and voltage drop isn't too bad(about 1/2v every 100 feet). Great buy at this price. (Make sure your source voltage is high enough to counter the voltage drop or you won't be able to power your camera)

Video Balun Transceiver
00:00:00 05-18-2011
The depth of field is also zoomed in pretty tight. If I point this camera and my more expensive camera at the same object, the other camera shows the object at a distance and a lot of the surrounding area. This camera will have almost the entire screen filled with the object being viewed.

this is the first video security camera I have owned, but I was very pleased with this purchase. Our purpose for buying was to use it as a baby monitor.

Video BNC UTP Balun Transceiver
00:00:00 05-04-2011
I have Cat5 cable buried in conduit between the buildings, about 350' of wire max. The unit works fine testing at my desk here, with about three feet of wire between the two baluns, hardwire always works.
