The Easy Cap has worked great for us, turning an HD Sony video camera into a web cam that we have been able to use to offer a class live online. The picture is clear, the set up took some playing with between the camera, Ustream and the Easy Cap, but that would be true for anything we tried for the first time. There are some awesome videos on YouTube describing how to use the Easy Cap with other free downloadable video capturing software. Check them out! So, for $13.00, including shipping, a camera we already owned, and Ustream, we are able to broadcast online with an amazing picture! Good luck!

With all the negative reviews I've seen for this product, I can't believe no one has said anything like this. The Easycap is a GREAT product. For the price, you're getting more than what you've paid. No, the software does NOT crash constantly. If it does, it's your computer. It DOES record in color with clear sound, you just haven't adjusted the settings well. I hate seeing a negative review on a product when the negative is actually the user. <br/> <br/>If you have any troubles with the product, go to youtube, look up some quality settings and follow them. You will have a great product.

I was unaware that I did not need to go to the catalogue sight on the web and could go directly to the website to find the items that I wanted. After speaking to an online account rep, the matter was quickly resolved and I was able to order quickly and efficiently. The items arrived even before I expected them! I couldn't believe the price. Because of other outstanding reviews I felt confident to buy online without troubles. They were great!!! They even called me at home to make sure that everything I submitted was correct and told me that the product was going to be shipped that day! I don't know how the EasyCap works on a Vista machine, but on my XP laptop (with only a 1.8Ghz Centrino processor) it works very well for turning VHS tapes into DVD's or ISO files. The Driver is simple and straight forward to install, and I am certain that the majority of people that have complained about poor audio quality haven't taken the time to set up the Capture or Burn settings correctly. The Audio Capture settings default to 64kbs Mpeg, which will result in poor audio quality. The Audio Capture setting needs to be increased to at least 128kbs, or better yet - LPCM Audio. It is easy to overlook this, and it is critical for good audio performance - especially for concert tapes. The Ulead software takes some time to master, but it works quite well after learning it, and the quality of the DVD's or ISO files (including motion menu's and chapters) it burns/generates is very good. <br/> <br/>It's an amazing hardware/software package for the money. If you take the time to learn the software and configure it up properly, you will be very satisfied with the results.
