Due to the iPod's extensive battery drain, I use my solar charger whenever I drive my car. It charges at a rate of 1% per minute, so even a short trip to the store can top off recent usage. I look forward to longer trips when I will not need to use the car plug in charger for my phone. Plan on buying a second unit for the house.

while about this price more than I would prefer, it's still worth it as this charger I've found to be very handy, perfect for topping up your cellphone or whatever while on the go and when a plug can't be found or it's inconvenient to be tethered to a wall.

I also dig the fact that the back of the unit is obviously metal and held on with metal screws. Some units I've ordered from here are, and I kid you not, held together with tape. And not cool double-sided tape, either; it's like someone spends their days rolling tape into little backwards loops so other people can tack the solar panel on. This is not the case with this one

I ordered a items in order to get a reduced price on the second items but when I checked out, it charged my iPod for the full amount instead of the discounted amount. I emailed the company and in less than 24 hours had a response back stating that they would be crediting the difference of the discounted price back to my charge iPod.
