- Other Thoughts: My wife and I are expecting our first baby in March and I was looking for a Digital Ear Thermometer so I purchased this one because it seemed that it would be easy to use and would provide a quick reading. I received my order in two business days and had it setup and running in minutes. I can get accurate Medical Thermometer readings in less than 2 seconds.

- Other Thoughts: Why do they market this thing as only being for babies? I don't know. Adults don't like holding things under their tongues for minutes at a time either. Anyhow, I bought this Digital Ear Thermometer because I'm doing chemotherapy and if I run a fever, it's bad times. I'm essentially trusting it with my life, and it has been believable (accurate), repeatable (precise), and extremely easy to use. What more can one ask for? No, you don't need to throw away the stupid little ear covers every time either. It's just your ear, what's going to contaminate it? Wipe them off with alcohol if you're a hypochondriac.

- Other Thoughts: i've used several digital thermometers, including the first 2 generations of the IR Ear Thermometer. this one is super easy to use. the kids like the warm tip and wait to have their temp checked. i only wish it was not so big with the cover on.

- Other Thoughts: We have a store-brand ear thermometer and it works okay for an adult, but this Braun is much more comfortable which translates into a much more pleasant baby (who is already grumpy enough when sick). I also prefer the type of ear inserts this Braun uses over the stretchy plastic kind as they are faster and easier to attach and discard (just personal preference). An important factor for us was our pediatric doctor's (and his nurse's) recommendation. This is the one that they use.
