This is exactly the same as I was previously using before the dog chewed one end of the cord. It works perfectly for my computer (Gateway). The handy carrying pouch is a plus as I carry my computer on all my travels.

I purchased this product a few months ago and found that it does what it is designed to do. My only draw back is that it did not come with the tip that provided the full power that allowed battery recharging for my laptop (apt35us) and that had to be purchased separately. Other than that it came in a nice carry pouch with all the other useful stuff that allows you to power your laptop from the car and such like.

I wish now that I had gotten the next one up that included the AC power adapter in addition to the auto/air. It comes with a nice travel case to keep those unwieldy cables in check. One of the reasons why I regret not getting the all inclusive kit was the travel case, this way I could have a nice lightweight portable kit and keep the OEM on at home.

Have been using this adaptor as a backup/mobile adaptor for the last 2 years and have never had a problem with it. I use it to charge my laptop, PDA and cell phone at the same time without ANY problems. <br/> <br/>I highly reccomend to anyone tired of carrying a different adaptor for their PDA, cell phone and laptop. One cord does it all.....AND at the same time!!!!!!

This purchase was made to procur one of the tips included in the "bundle" that is not available through Targus on a "by item" need. Now I have a back-up power adapter and a functioning tip at a very reasonable price!
