I haven't tried the micro-USB connector on this port, but I've been using it as a hub for about a month now. This hub appears to be well built, and it does a good job. No complaints!

The cables you see in the pictures hide into the side of the body making this a great travel accessory for my laptop. I don't have to worry about the cables getting damaged while in my laptop bag. The way the USB ports are well spaced helps alot too.

I bought this 3 Port USB Hub for my MacAir but started to use it on my iMac. It makes things easier than reaching behind the back to connect USBs. I ordered another one for my Air. Small and so far, works well. One thing I like is you do not need a power cord for this one!
