The daytime color ability is good too although the IR waterproof camera I purchased seems to be more accurate during the day and poor at night. I would definitely suggest buying this camera as a home security option.

I did a lot of research trying to decide on a good, affordable camera. I purchased these and a different brand at the same time. The IR waterproof camera is a great all around camera and does an excellent job at night. I would estimate that you can clearly see objects 50-60 feet away in complete darkness, which I think is great for a cameras in this price range.

Great camera good picture day or night! The video quality of this camera is great and so is the night vision! I live in a court at the very end and I can literally see all the way to the cross street at night. Loved this IR color camera so much I decided to buy another.

Camera works great outdoors, day or night, with excellent clarity & reception. One of the best deals on cameras available. I usually don't write reviews but felt this IR waterproof camera merited one. I am extremely impressed with these cameras.

When hooked directly to a good TV the picture is really very good including the night vision. When attched to the DVR it loses some of this clarity. Overall for the money IR color camera works as advertised. Seems to be built very well. All good construction.

The camera switches to night vision mode with an audible click. It does so prematurely I would say, as daylight color picture stays a very good quality, and things do not have to get very dim before the camera goes into night vision mode. Normal room lights indoors were not enough for it to stay in color daylight mode.

Have been using this camera for a couple of weeks now and it out performs my other cameras. Especially in low light conditions. Can see farther and in color longer at night than the cameras I have from other vendors. Also, the short cable is perfect for installations where you want to swap out a camera. Overall very happy with this camera.

This camera is AWESOME!!!! I did my research and this was the best priced unit out there. $40+ vs. $100 elsewhere. My husband mounted it on the wall outside our front door and then connected to our new tv with no problems. Easy-peasy and it works great. We've had lots of people check it out and want to know where we got it. AMAZON of course!, I tell them. We love it.

Ordered this for paranormal investigations to go along with a DVR also ordered through this company. <br/> <br/>Easy to set up, basically just plug and play, and was transmitting video immediately. Had a minor issue with a tiny screw that is used to tighten the base to the camera. The unit shipped with a very small allen wrench and the only part of the camera I could imagine it was for was to loosen this screw. I was unable to get the allen wrench to loosen this screw so I contacted the seller who wrote back immediately stating to loosen that screw I needed to use a small jewelers screw driver and that it should not have come with the allen wrench. Using a small jewelers flat head I was easily able to loosen the screw and get the base onto the camera. <br/> <br/>Everything went as expected, thank you. For the price, you'd be a fool not to get this!
