• I bought this product because my laptops fan constantly kept coming on while i worked on long projects. i know that every time your laptop fan comes on the cpu is losing life because its starting to overheat. well i decided to pick up a fan. this one works great. i never hear my laptop fan come on. it makes the same amount of noise as the laptop fan does but i can feel the cold air coming from underneath it. it stands your laptop up as well and now my wrist are feeling much better. by standing up it allows the fan to pull in air around the laptop which is need instead of just spinning air in place from the small fans. this is a great product and was worth every dollar.

• Over the past two months, I have ordered twice from Dinodirect.com. Both shopping experiences were painless. I went in at odd times of the night (think 3 am - couldn't sleep), and the servers were up and responsive. Once I placed my order, I received an email acknowledgment, showing what I had ordered, including the name of the product, price, and order number. For my first order, things were shipped in two pieces. I took advantage of free shipping and was not charged for either. I really appreciated the fact that with each shipment, I received an email confirmation. The first box arrived four business days later and the second box arrived five business days later. Everything was nicely packed and nothing was damaged.

• Having a 17" laptop (Dell Inspiron 9400/E1705), most cooling pads on the market don't quite fit. Many of them are designed for 15" or so sized laptops, so a 17" widescreen laptop will of course have couple inches hanging outside of the pad surface. So does this pad.
  
  But this one is just perfect. No doubt about it.
  
  Why? It almost seems like it was built for the 9400. Because the 9400 has two vents, one on the top left corner and another on the top right corner(one for CPU and the other for GPU since I have GeForce Go 7900 GS which has an extra fan). The vents have openings both on top (the keyboard side) and on the buttom which draw air and blow out the back side (next to the power coard, VGA video out, ethernet slot, etc).
  
  As I've mentioned, this pad is for 15" laptops, so if I align the pad with the center of the laptop, there will be approximately 1" margin on each sides hanging outside the pad. But this way the buttom side of the two vent openings are actually elevated in mid-air, which is a perfect spot for air to move freely upwards.
  
  You might wonder, then the 3 fans on the pad don't really help anymore? Actually they help tramendously. Because the SODIMM RAM slots of the Inspiron are located in the dead center of the buttom of the laptop, where hot air gather and not much cool air is circulating. So the location of the 3 fans on the pad basically blows away any and all accumulated hot air.
  
  With the help of the cooling pad, the temperatures on the CPU, GPU, and memory chips can drop almost 40, 35, 20 degrees Fahrenheit respectively when running a demanding task (such as playing BattleField 2 at highest resolution).

• My computer would get so hot while I watching movies or television shows on my computer that it would literally burn my leg. I didn't even want to think about what it was doing to my computer! I'd been looking around for laptop coolers for some time, but the reviews on most were not exactly promising. Then I came across the cooling pad on Dinodirect, I finally decided on this one, and man am I glad! It is light weight and works great, it was worth the wait and the price to end up with a light, aesthetically appealing, nearly silent, and highly effective cooler.

• A site I've accidentally stumbled across but one I would heartily recommend. Wide variety of goods available and all at great prices. • They had fantastic customer service with domestic employees so they were completely understandable and friendly. Took the item I ordered a little longer than I would have liked to shipped, but that was because it was over-ordered because of a price mistake, coupled with the fact that their online inventory is not live with their warehouse. They honored their mistake which gives them a huge thumbs up. Just one piece of advice if you are a potential buyer... just register when you order. If you do not register, you cannot track your order online "for security purposes." Otherwise, their online support is detailed and updated like most other large sites.

• My favorite part about this unit is that because it is slanted it is much easier to type. Perhaps it is the way my desk is set up but it makes a big difference. Also, I have a Sony Vaio and the cpu is at the top right corner (right where one of the fans is). Before I got this unit, it would blow lots of hot air out the cpu vent after I had left the laptop on overnight. Now, nothing. You can feel a little heat if you touch it, but it's been greatly reduced. I've been very impressed.

• I have a Dell Inspiron 5100 that heats up very quickly on any surface. After being disappointed with other cheaper coolers, I decided to try this one. On a flat surface, such as a desk, I give it a 5/5. It dissipates heat very well and keeps the outside and internal chips near room temperature with extended use.

• I was going to build my own laptop cooler out of a sheet-cake pan and copier cooling fans, but then I discovered this ready-made one on dinodirect. After looking at 10 or so laptop coolers, I decided on this one as it was made better than the others - aluminum vs plastic, and had three fans.
  
  Now that the daytime temperatures are in the 80s, my Dell Latitude D531 used get so hot that it would shut off by itself. Now it's running nice and cool! The 17 inch cord might be a problem for some, but it's fine for my use as I have 2 USB ports on my Dell. I am using one for the cooler, and the other for my 7 port USB hub. The three fans run so quiet that you can barely hear them.
  
  I got a good chuckle out of the Features and Benefits paragraph on the box as it was obviously written by a person whose first language isn't English. (This cooler is made in China)

• After getting this pad I thought that the size and simplicity could not be effective however after taking it out on the road and using this for a week either it's me or this thing is really working. My laptop used to function more sporadic and at the end of a seminar day it would be hot, hot, hot. Now when the day is done after using the Cooler Pad the laptop is not only cool to the touch it also functions more efficiently. Just like a car...the cooler you keep the components the better it functions.

• The unit does a great job elevating for circulation and the three fans generate a good wind beneath, that alone makes the unit great but add in the fact that it has a female usb connection(so you dont lose the usb port the unit uses) and that the neon blue light looks awesome, and youve got a really good product....even if the spelling on the boxes they come in might be a little off :)

• Basically this works for the way I use my laptop. Fits up to a Vaio 460 w/o covering front vents, but does take some adjusting. Has raise rear feet for a comfortable angle on the keyboard and doesn't slid around. It's fairly quiet to me. Yet it doesn't blow notes off the desk. The USB T'ed into a double ended plug so one can add plug another cable into it. Hasn't been much of a power draw so far. Most of all it does a good job cooling. Lights are okay but could do without. I just want a clear pad. The fan are not covered underneath so you can't put on your lap. Else the fans will hit your clothing. Also would be nice to have an off switch for my needs as it doesn't shut down in the sleep mode. Delivery was prompt and hassle free.

• This is a very well made cooling fan for your laptop. However, if you have a 15.4" screen your laptop will hang off of it about an inch on both sides, 17" is about an inch and a half on both sides. Is that a problem? No, not really. You want air circulation underneath to cool. The 3 fans are great. Most cooling boards have only 2. An earlier reviewer said he didnt like it because the back was "open". Well that reduces the weight and increases air circulation. It is well designed in my opinion. The on/off switch is nice. It will only work of course if the laptop is running. You will never forget to turn it off. It runs amazingly quiet. You cant hear it but you can feel it. It is really meant to keep the battery cool and help the heatsink fan. A cooler working battery will last longer. It has a good angle to work. I really havent found anything wrong with it. I highly recommend this item, however, if I was to make a suggestion to improve it, it would be to add a couple of usb ports to

• This is an excellent cooler, also at a very accesible price... i would say that it looks bigger than it really is but still enough power to keep your laptop at a good temperature. I recommend it!

• This is a great little product for solving the overheating laptop problem. Its pluses are:
  
  1. Made of metal, so it's not going to break after a few weeks of use.
  2. Has 3 fans placed at various spots toward the back of the laptop.
  3. Bottom is open, so there is lots of path for air to flow out
  The small minuses are:
  
  Bottom is open and exposed. It's only a few volts, but just make sure you don't have anything metal underneath
  
  So, the product is not perfect, but it's darn good for the price. I highly recommend it!
