I have to admit that I was skeptical that this product would work as well as a USB fan powered cooler that I have. It's very well made and I highly recommend it. I always place the laptop on my lap and work long hours (which is not healthy). This pad helps a lot.

Easily portable & no power usage make this product a worthy consideration. When it is cold you can bend it and feel & hear the solid crystals crunching inside. As the pad heats up it becomes more pliable as the crystals start turning to liquid. It works, but as others have mentioned prolonged usage heats it to the point of diminishing returns. I'm considering purchasing a second pad for long work sessions.

I have an external hard drive that is "air-cooled" but it is in a location where air circulation is somewhat blocked. This little fan takes care of that problem and keeps it running cool. I had tried battery-powered fans, but the batteries would die too quickly. If I'm not using the external HD, I just reposition the fan to provide extra circulation for the tower.

The product is based around computer case fan, with a wire stand to control the fan speed. The retractable power cord extends to over 50" which is more than enough for me. Besides being useful for cooling notebook computers, this is also helpful for cooling off stereo components and related electronic equipment since heat is the enemy. At higher speeds, the fan does make some noise however.

I've used other products for my laptops; but this Aluminium Shell USB Laptop Cooling Cooler Pad is by far superior to the others! It's quiet; the design is very comfortable on my lap. The USB can be held in place on the bottom in more than one position. Doesn't require a lot of battery power. I'm very impressed with this new laptop cooler!

I live in Hawaii, so the temperatures in my apartment average around 80 degrees F. I have been suffering quite a lot from being overheated by my laptop - the heat of my computer heats my legs up and makes me miserable! I got this Laptop Cooling Pad last week and I haven't had any problems with being too hot. It cools my laptop down, does not drain my battery, is quiet, and is really light and convenient! I am very happy with my purchase!

This product is so quiet that you can't hear the fan over ambient room noise. The laptop cooling pad has just enough grip. It moves around on the pad easily, yet tacky enough to feel secure when lifting, and not worrying about your computer taking a dive. Cord routeing is easy. This product just plain works. It has enough airflow to keep my laptop fan from coming on. This cooler has no negatives and plenty of attributes. Highly recommended.

Fantastic cooler. Fan is quiet and works awesome. The outlet for the hot exhaust is much colder than without the cooler. very scientific, real temperature reduction. Great price, buy it. Antec makes great products.
