It works fine; I'm happy to have my DVD drive working again! The faceplate on my DVD drive was a little weird, so I had to cut the casing of the product a little bit to get it to fit. The only bad thing about it is that it doesn't come with directions and I ended up breaking a piece of the casing during assembly (but it wasn't an important piece). So take a good hard look at the way the thing goes together before you install.

Peaple usually buy this and sell them on ebay for alot more. This product works very nicely, but doesn't need the 5V USB power cable to work, it's very slow when burning songs though.

Took five minutes to set it up. Works great. My old computer had a "Lightscribe" drive. I bought a new Mac and salvaged the drive from my old computer. This case allows me to continue to burn "Lightscribe" labels. Love it!

I received this item yesterday and it took me about 10 minutes to figure out how to install it. I have to take out the faceplate and install the one that came with the drive in order for it to fit correctly. Be careful not to force the drive into the enclosure as the connectors will become loose. Other than that, I have burnt two test CDs and one .ISO file and both work fine. For the low price, it's definitely worth it.

If you have a slim cd or dvd drive from a laptop, or you purchased one for a laptop that you never used (like I did), this enclosure from dinodirect.com turns that drive into an instant external USB 2.0 DVD drive. It works great with my new netbook. I can watch a DVD or load software onto the netbook by just plugging in the drive. Its slim size packs easily into the small case so I can take it along with me. It took about 3 minutes to assemble and start using. Very easy and simple. I recommend it for any level computer enthusiast.

What I really love most about Media Player is both how snappy the menus are and how clear the video and audio are. I am very satisfied and feel like the WD TV does a great job with what it is designed for. Highly recommended!

I mean directly in front of HD Media Player . If you try to use it from any angle or significant distance it would not work. If the remote was better it would have received 5 stars. However, overall I am very impressed.
