I purchased this cap for use as a lens cap on a Wide Angle lens with a thin filter mounted on it. I use such filters to prevent vignetting. Normal lens caps don't work since they have no grip on the filter edges. These caps are great since they slide over the filter/lens with a nice tight fit. You can't find them in the brick and mortar stores. I cannot comment on their white balance value since I don't use them for that.

This White Balance Lens Cap Disk is a clever little tool that gets the job done. I use mine in studio and outdoors. It is easy to use and produces the right white balance colors most of the time. I say most of the time because it seems to depend on your exposure. If I get my exposure properly set then I have no trouble. It is small and easy to keep in my back pocket during the shoot. Fast and easy to use.

This is a good handy product and give better results as compared to using auto white balance settings. One thing that I didnt like is the adapter screw-on, which doesnt let my original lens cap to be placed over.

This White balance cap works pretty well for the few bucks I spent on it. Its not perfect in that it gives a blue hue to everything, but that is easily tweaked in post. The best part is that I get a consistent color when shooting, rather than the varied looks I get when using auto W/B. If you are looking for a perfect white balance cap for cheap, I think you are looking in vain, but if you are looking for consistency for cheap, this thing rocks. Its very easy to use too, just screw it onto your lens and go! 4 stars for the color, but 5 stars for the functionality.

This is a great product, and makes a huge difference in the quality of your photos. It comes with two parts, one screws on to the end of your lens, the other is the actual white cap. I have noticed that for some wide angle lenses that you cannot keep the attachment on the lens as it may stick out too much, but I haven't had that issue with my other lenses. Also if you are using a lens hood, you may find it a slight hastle to take the hood on and off to balance the camera, but it is definately worth the better picture. Also for the price you really can't go wrong.

Lens cap doesn't fit on standard lens, only on the adapter, but that's great when using filters. The standard cover doesn't fit on the adapter sleeve, so if you leave the sleeve installed, it is mandatory for covering the lens. Great price on the cap. Would like to have some means to restrain the cap when removed, but that's a function of the Canon design, not the merchant.

I like this lens cap, especially now that I have a tether attached. The only changes I would make to it, is some kind of loop that a tether could be really attached by more that just a sticky foot like my current tether.

I lost the original cap and was desperately looking for the cap. When I got in the mail I was disappointed because it was not the exact one. But then as I found out, this was even better. It fits better and is more secure. It worked out even better for me!
