I have to give this high praise for what it is, not for how it compares to more expensive mics; for a small, portable mic that gives me access to voice memos on my ipod touch, this does the trick, and it does it nicely. I can't complain.

This mini microphone improves on the quality of the recordings with my iPod Touch 4G. It's so small I can see losing it easily. The iPhone 4S microphone is all hard plastic and the pin seats firmly in the socket This little thing rocks.

It looks just like the original and it isn't short at all. The cord is the original length as the one that came with yor ipod. I'd recommend this. It's cheaper than the original and it does the same exact thing.

was rather surprised when the dock that came with my iPod shuffle broke on me. Even more surprised when I saw that Apple wanted $29.95 to replace it. Heck, that's almost half of what the Shuffle cost to begin with. And if the first one broke so easy I don't want to take a chance. <br/> <br/>So I surfed around and saw this handy dandy thing. I got it pretty quick and it works like a charm! And what's better, you can carry this around with you much easier than the Apple dock and it's not going to die on me. <br/> <br/>Great product!

I've had this thing under heavy use for two months now, only using the SD reader, and it's great. Not sure how I lived without it. It shows no signs of deteriorating thus far, but if it belly-ups inside of the year, I'll come back and update this.
