Best View Monitor is great & worth every penny: <br/>-Picks up sounds from baby, it is not oversensitive for us- just right <br/>-Love the panning camera since our baby has started to move all over crib <br/>-The zoom feature allows us to see him breathe (silly, but comforting for new parent) <br/>-Cord is long & monitor sits nicely on the crib <br/>-Batteries last long when unplugged <br/>I wish it did not interfere with the wireless Internet in the house, but it does.

It had audio but no video. We purchased the Best Baby Video Monitor and have been very happy with our purchase. The audio is very sensitive and the video is very clear, even in the dark. My only gripe: we have wireless internet for our laptops. When the baby monitor is on, it jams (freezes) our wireless signal. Other than that, very happy with this product and would recommend it.

I searched long and hard to find a Best Baby Video Monitor that worked well. I read and read about them, then bought and returned a couple. This is by far the best I have come across. There are certainly improvements that can be made (location of volume controls, for example), but I swear by this monitor every night. There is little to no interference, the range and battery life are good and the panning is totally cool.

It's true that it doesn't go down very far, but it dows go up all the way to vertically upwards, so if you want to cover the most area, just attach it vertically to a wall or book shelf (it has a hole in the back like a picture frame just for that). For watching your child close up (e.g.to see if he/she's breathing or not) you do need to be pretty close to him/her (we just have it at the edge of the crib), so I'm not sure how useful/necessary this really is. So overall a product that I would happily recommend to my friends

I don't need to repeat all the great things that everyone else has already written but I wanted to add some feedback addressing some peoples "cons" or negative aspects of the product. This is both for the benefit of new purchasers looking at this option as well as those that already have the product. For those that already have the product this may highlight that perhaps you have a defective one and should exchange it.

I have had this DVR Baby Monitor Kit for about 1 week and though my baby hasn't arrived yet, love it so far. Great customer support answered my questions before purchase, very easy set-up, love that you can add cameras. We shopped for baby monitors and compared brands and features for months and I am very happy with this purchase.

I also didn't think a video monitor would be necessary, but my husband--a gadget guy--wanted one, so we 1st got the Sight & Sound Assurance by Safety 1st. The monitor on the Safety 1st was always B&W and pretty grainy, also the monitor is very bulky and always has to be plugged in.
