This Computer Microphone is great no matter where your mic port is on your laptop. I love it. It works with vista and picks up my voice without having to shout. It would be easy to travel with. The sound quality was pretty good. I recorded a test track and it sounded loud and clear. This would be great for video chat.

I got this small Laptop microphone today and used it to chat on gmail. I was told that the sound quality has improved very much. Before that, I used to use the built-in microphone in my laptop. Very good product so far. If anything changes, I will post an update.
