- Other Thoughts: No, this review is not about a "defective" unit received.. It’s about the overall lack of quality and their Tech Support unit~! <br/>Okay...this video camera takes GRAINY pictures (snapshots AND video) and the Tech Support Unit comprise of those from Indian origins, who sound as if they are reading from the HORRIBLE, Chinese-made (Chin-garish) product manual!!! <br/>This thing is heading towards the closet (not worth returning for refund) and I have to carefully read the next review on "Camcorders that have Webcam capability"...and just thought I'd leave a Product Comment on this product's QUALITY and not just about a defective piece!

- Other Thoughts: We bought this camera for my son for his 10th birthday. For the price, my expectations were quite low, but I figured if he was able to get some play time out of it and learn a few things about cameras it would be worth it. I've been impressed. As long as you don't judge it outside of it's class, it's a surprisingly good camera. The first thing I noticed is how good the image looks, a combination of decent sensor and good display. When my brother-in-law saw the camera, he seriously considered it as a gift for his wife.

- Other Thoughts: My first all-digital video camera and I wanted to ease into it. Very simple and I had it mostly figured out within minutes. However, I couldn't figure out the zoom right away but it appeared to "come with zoom". Eventually disovered it, but it's ackward to use and get grainy fast. There were other, even cheaper digital video cameras from Colby that I ended up buying for work and I'm have tempted to swap. This one is cheap feeling, really no bells and whistles but for playing around capturing a few moments with the kids here and there, it'll probably be okay until it breaks.

- Other Thoughts: Camera is not bad for the money, first thing that that you will notice is operating instructions leave a lot to be desired. That being said it seems to be a decent camera for the price with amazing battery life. I currently have a 8 gig sd card in mine which allows me to take over 2 hours worth of video with sound. Another big plus is the fact that it easily fits in your pocket and can be used as a web cam with built in mic.
