I am buying a pair of these for my 93 year old mother, because she can't get the plastic open on the Perdue Perfect Portions chicken pieces. I have had mine for several years now and use them for everything--flowers, plastic, and more! Right now they are in the dishwasher. I always feel better knowing that they come apart for easy cleaning and they are getting santized in the dishwasher.

When ever you have used these Fiskars household scissors, you can never go back to a regular pair. Tha take apart blades are genius. No screwing or tools necessary. They just slide into one another. The cutting action is smooth and efficient. The handles extremely comfortable. Due to a serrated blade they do not loose their edge even after many cleanings in the dishwasher. Oil, sauce, gravy, meat particles can be washed right off in the silverware basket. Ideal for: Paper, cardboard, chicken bones, meats, all kinds of food stuff. A real quality tool. Sure to improve one's life. I am happy, every time I use them.

We use these shears so often, we bought a second pair. We use them in the kitchen, and they can cut through almost anything. Even chicken bones pose little problem, using the notch at the base of the blades. The take-apart feature is great, ensuring that no germs are hiding out under the blade's hinge point.

I have owned these kitchen scissors for several years and they are definitely an indespensible item. I use them for everything in the kitchen, and love the sanitary nature of the blades, which come apart. I now have two dishwashers, and it is rare that they are not in one. I am ordering a second pair so they are always available!

I love these scissors. They come apart for easy cleaning. As a result they can be used on the messiest items. I highly recommend them. They are an excellent value for the price--far superior to scissors that are much more expensive.
