The still pictures that can be gotten from the videos are very good. But unless the camera is held very steady, the action seems jerky. Maybe that is the problem of a high shutter speed. If one examines regular movie frames, they are quite blurred if there is any action going on. A slower shutter speed makes for much smoother action shots, but that is not an option with the Flip camcorder. Use a tripod, or at least pay attention to being very steady if you want good movies. Avoid panning shots - let the subject do the moving rather than you moving the camera.

This product is top notch in every way. The video that it takes is crystal clear and despite what some say, it takes great video in low light. Also don't be fooled by the low mega pixels, this device takes excellent still photos. If you know anything about still photography then you should know that the quality of your photos is not totally dependent on the camcorder.

I just came back from family vacation from sunny Mexico, connected camcorder via HDMI cable to my HDTV, and I was stunned. Picture quality from this camcorder was amassing and comparable to if not better then ray DVD. Outdoors shoots were comparable to professionally done movies, color were vibrant and rich, but not over saturated. They were natural, and accurate.

The camera has been excellently reviewed by previous reviewers. All I can say is, it is a great camera. - Very tiny, fits into my palm - Great ergonomics - Manual focus, not so easy to work around, but good enough. - Video quality is great - Low light, like any other cam corder, not bad! Unless you are expecting something extraordinary!

I paid for next day shipping because i bought it on a monday and i am leaving sunday well its thurs i called the company they were no help called the PS they were no help so if u pay express shipping expect it no sooner than a week

This camera takes the best still pictures of any mini-dv I have owned yet !! Low transport noise and the joystick rocks . You basically just open the box and shoot . As with any camera you should always adjust your own white balance .It fits in the palm of your hand and comes with a remote and a mic ! No battery complaints as of yet . For the price get it !!

The picture quality for this camcorder is superb. I was very, very pleased with the product. It also does well under low light conditions and you can purchase a video dc light (cheap) to attach to the top of camcorder for low light and night shots. It does not have a built in light, but this does not seem to effect the image quality. I bought it to film and pop out the DVD to play on the DVD player. I can't say much about the software since I probably won't ever use it, but if you are looking for high-quality camcorder just for filming, I rate this one Number 1 !!!

I recently bought this Video Camcorder and has grown to love it. It took a while to get use to it because it's a bit differant from regular Digital cameras but in the end I was happy with the results. It's light weight, and small size was most convenient for concerts and fairs. It fits in at small waist pouch that was also very convinient.

I am new to videography...but that being said the Quality and ease of usage for a Newbie like me has been sooooooo satisfying. I am still learning and reading the manual but I am completely satisfied with my purchase. I will get myself a tripod next tho because this thing is so awesome , especially the remote control features.I simply need to explore some more of the possiblities this camera offers. The software to create my own DVDs is simply the Best I have seen and naturally I highly recommend this camera. I really made a good choice when I chose this as a Gift to myself for a LongService award reward for myself.

This is a great beginners camcorder. I already have five digital camcorders including the upper priced Canon camcorders. I paid much less for this camcorder and my 13 year old daughter LOVES it. The memory card helped a lot too especially when she does mini movie clips. I (and she) would highly recommend this camcorder. Good product, Good Price, Good buy!

Purchased this camera about a month ago and love it! Super easy to use. Plan to purchase one for my mother who is totally technology incompetant (I say that lovingly...she's 71 years old and struggles with all electronics). I really believe even she can use it.
